Spring Equinox Projects

The time has come the walrus said...Spring Equinox is coming this March 20th! I am so excited for this time of year. I feel so blessed that my birthday is five days before the rebirth of Mother Earth! I have a few family fun projects planned for this week. I will keep editing this post with add ons as we go!
First up on this beautiful, fresh Monday is....

Egg Carton Flowers

You will need:
Egg Cartons
~ Paint
~ String
~ A few small sticks
~ Scissors

Directions:
1) Grab your egg cartons and cut the top from the bottom. Cut each egg holder out and then cut into flowers. 

2) Paint your flowers with either water colors or acrylics...whatever you got.

3) Once they are dry punch a hole in each centre. Feed a few onto some string (knotting after each flower) and than attach to your stick...like so and hang where ever you need some cheer!


Tuesday
So our second project that we are working on is ...

Ostara Goddess Offering Bowl

You will need
Sculpey Clay
~Oven
~ Paints
~ Your Imagination

Directions:
1) Take your clay and form into your whatever your imagination or google has come up with for your goddess offering bowl ;)
2) Bake in preheated oven at 275 degrees for 15-30 mins.
3) Paint and let dry
4) Go on an offering hunt and add some too it!

Wednesday / Thursday
So for the next two projects it took me two days to accomplish! First up is....

Ostara Egg Tree

You will need
~ Eggs
~ Food Coloring
~ Needle
~Marker
~ String
~Glue
~ Tree

Directions:
1) Put a hole in both ends of the egg and drain the yolk & white out of the shell. Do this with each egg.
2) Clean off the eggs and run water inside of them. Dry them out.
3) Once the eggs have completely dried, take your marker and draw out some designs on the eggs.
4) Once the marker has dried, prepare your food coloring and color your eggs.
5) Let them dry. Attach the string to the eggs with glue.
6) Hang in your tree.


















 

Egg Candles

You will need:
Left over eggs from the tree project
~ An egg holder
~ Tea light
~ Colored Candle

Directions:
1) Empty the egg out like above and color it with food coloring.
2) Take off the upper half of the egg
3) Take the tea light and take the wick out. Fit the candle inside and place the wax inside the egg shell.
4) Place you egg into the holder.
