Pandora's Box

We have always done a "Happy Jar" in our home and it always felt like we were missing something. When something bad happens, something negative my first urge is to vent. And you can get yourself in some hot water if you don't vent to only your trust people. Which is sometimes my problem with the especially large crappy moments. So I decided this year we would add something else. I found an old christmas box hanging around.

I decided to paint it black for the darker side that these moments lead us too. I got each of my family members to pick out a bright coloured paint and I covered the box in positive rune signs.

Berkana:
Positive: Birth, Fertility, Growth, Liberation, Love Affair
Negative: Axiet, Deceit, Abandon, Loss of Control
Ehwaz:

I wrapped it in wire and covered it in gold flames and chose to call it Pandora's Box. In this box my family and I will fill it with unwanted thoughts and unhappy moments. Those little negative pieces that threaten to ruin our days. This box is designed to never be opened again and to be burned and returned to the air and the earth.  I guess you could call it a purge box. We have plans to burn it on Midsummer's Eve for a new beginning.

2017 Update

For this years Pandora Box I chose to make it white instead of black. I found black to be such a heavy color for this box. I felt so much heavy energy drifting from this box throughout the year. So hopefully with white it will balance out the energies.
