What to have on hand:
the tools you want to purify
salt
incense or smudge ( Frankincense or sage/cedar)
fire (candle)
water (moon water)
Make sure all your tools that you want to purify are near your altar. I cast my circle with my altar at its center. You altar should already have everything you need to purify, but if not make sure you have them there in the circle.
I invoke all the directions starting with the East and ending with Spirit. Then move the incense to the east, the fire to the south, the moon water to the west and the salt to the north.
Take your tool and start with the East. Pass it through the smoke saying:
"I purify this (name of tool) for positive means, for magical use. All negativity is removed from it any time and space".
Repeat for each element. For fire hold it over the flame, for water sprinkle the water onto the tool, for earth rub the salt onto it.
Once all your tools have been passed through the elements set them in the centre of your altar near or on your pentacle. With your hands hovering over them in the form of a triangle visualize a silver orb in the space between your fingers. Draw your energy from the earth, saying:
"Ancient Witches, Hearken Nigh
Earth, Wind, Water, Sky
Stars Above, Earth Below
Peace & Prosperity, Energy Flow
The energy around me is flowing, flowing
The Goddess power is growing, growing"
Repeat the last two lines until enough energy is built, and the orb is too big for your hands to contain. Push your energy into your tools.
When your tools feel full and the energy dissipates say:
"By my will and the will of the Universe,
these tools are empowered to guide my magical workings
By the Will of All
And with harm to none
As I will
So shall it be done."
Bring your hands to the earth and ground your energy, let it flow out your fingers. Give thanks and evoke all the elements.
Make sure to tweek this ritual so it fits more to you and so that your magic guides it.
