The Harvest Moon. A time of hard, satisfying work. This is the time that the garden comes fully off the land. The potatoes skins are hard and good to store for winter, the corn is at ready, cucumbers are large enough for the start of canning. Everything is ready. This is a great time of food preperation for the coming winter months. This is a time of canning, freezing and drying. This is a time when my family comes together.
