Black Mirror

I've always wanted a Black Mirror for scrying and to just have on the wall. Unfortunately I could not find a picture frame that I liked the frame of, so I ended up finding a mirror. You can not use a real mirror for this craft. You need see through glass, but luckily cutting your own glass is very easy!

So I found this funky mirror frame. The color is perfect and I had a spare sheet of glass from a previous craft set aside.

So I found a glass cutter and quickly learned how to cut glass. You will need a towel underneath it. Trace your shape out with marker. Push deep enough with the cutter that it makes a cutting sound. Tap the cutting line with the heavy ball on the end of the cutter and put a slight pressure in that area. If it doesn't snap the cut, redo the cut again.

Once the glass has its shape you need to paint one side black. It will take a few coats to completely get it black. Keep checking once it is dry, on the smooth side, if it is entirely black. Hold it up to a light to double check.

Put your mirror back together once it is dry. Make sure the glass part is to the front. Smudge it with some sage or whatever you like to use for cleansing, just to get the store and customers off it ;)
