Blood Moon (October)

This a powerful time of the month. Not only is it a Hunters Moon, but it is the Blood Moon also. The full moon of October has many names and Blood Moon is one of them, but this time the Moon actually appears in red because of the lunar eclipse.
Tonight will be the perfect opportunity to pull a card and do some Spellwork. Typically the Hunters Moon entails work on motivation and new beginnings, but as it is a Blood Moon this is a time when the Sun and the Moon are in perfect union so any workings are good.
Choose a Goddess to work with. Rummage around and grab an orange candle for the harvest and a white candle for the Full Moon. Spend your day gathering things for your altar and your spell. Choose things that have feeling for you and that respond to you. This is all apart of Spellwork and will give it even more power. Spend your day thinking and reflecting on what you want to accomplish with this spell.
Also if the sky is clear tonight make sure to bring out your moon water and charge it by the light of the full moon. With such a powerful moon you do not want to miss this opportunity. If you do not have moon water, simply grab a jar and fill it with some water. Decorate your jar in any way you want or leave it plain. Charge it on the nights of full moons.

Update:
So I decided to work with the Goddess Gaia. I also decided to keep my altar pretty simple for this. I cast my circle thrice, called the directions and invoked Gaia.

I pulled a trinity spread from my fairy oracle cards and discovered that I have much work ahead of me!

I also decided on a fertility chant as this is apart of my workings tonight. The chant was from Kundalini Yoga 'Sa Ta Na Ma'. Sa~Knowledge, Ta~ Wisdom & Patience, Na~ Vitality, Ma~ Communication. I always find chanting to be very powerful, as well as swaying with my chanting. I also meditated on my cards findings.
I did cake and ales and gave to the Mother Earth and closed my circle.
I left out my Moon Water Jar as the Blood Moon decided to make an appearance! Very exciting as it was overcast all day today.

It is a very clear moon tonight, but for some reason I could not get a clear shot of its red fullness.

I am touching very lightly on my circle work and not delving into too much of it as I want the magic to stay strong. I hope this guides you in your own workings. Remember if it feels right....it most likely is right!
